City Manager George Lahanas approved a $3,190.07 emergency drain pipe replacement at Allen Terrace before the July 20 council meeting convened, according to a memo from Housing Director Jolyn Gismonde.

The repair was one of four consent agenda items before the Northville City Council at its 6:30 p.m. meeting in City Hall Council Chambers, 215 W. Main St. Vote outcomes had not been posted as of July 22.

Allen Terrace is a city-owned senior housing property at 401 High St. In her memo to Mayor Brian Turnbull and council, Gismonde wrote that bathroom remodelers discovered a rusted drain pipe in the ceiling between the second and third floors on July 1. The pipe needed immediate replacement to prevent water damage and allow renovations to continue. Horton Plumbing handled the job, with funds drawn from Capital Outlay.

Draft minutes are expected within eight business days, putting them around early August, according to the city clerk's office. The full meeting record will be posted at www.cityofnorthvillemi.gov.
