Jessica M. Fisher will lead Northville High School's incoming freshman class as 9th Grade Level Assistant Principal when classes begin Monday, Aug. 31.

Fisher comes to Northville from Walled Lake Central High School, where she served as assistant principal and athletic director since 2023, according to a district announcement. She brings more than 15 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, instructional coaching and high school administration.

At Walled Lake Central, Fisher's work on inclusivity helped the school earn national recognition as a 2025 ESPN Honor Roll School for Michigan through the Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools program.

Before moving to Michigan, Fisher spent over a decade with Pinellas County Schools in Florida. As assistant principal at Seminole High School from 2018 to 2023, she led efforts to expand student access to Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses. One graduating class during her tenure reached a 99.2% graduation rate, described as the highest in that school's history.

Fisher holds a master's degree in administration and supervision from National Louis University in Tampa, Fla., and a bachelor's in elementary education from Central Michigan University.

Northville High School Principal Tony Koski said Fisher "brings experience, expertise, enthusiasm, and passion to this position" and "leads with our motto that 'Kids Come First.'"

Fisher said she welcomes the opportunity to focus on teaching and learning and advancing systems that promote student growth at Northville High School, which serves about 2,441 students in grades 9 through 12.

The hire rounds out the district's administrative lineup ahead of the new school year. Voters also recently backed the district's finances: on Tuesday, Aug. 4, Northville Public Schools' 10-year non-homestead operating millage replacement passed with about 69% support in Northville Township and 65% in the district's Oakland County precincts, according to The Oakland Press. The levy allows the district to continue collecting 18 mills on businesses, rental properties and second homes, generating an estimated $11.8 million annually.

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 31.
