Northville's second annual Northville Nite celebration returns Friday, Sept. 11, at Marv Gans Community Park, with a new downtown boutique and a storefront closing sale also on the fall calendar.
The community party runs 6 to 9 p.m. at the park at 15801 Beck Road at Five Mile Road. Northville Parks and Recreation is presenting the event, which features live music, food trucks, inflatables, games, giveaways and activities for all ages.
The Shawn Riley Band, billed as "Northville's own," takes the stage from 7 to 9 p.m.
Advance tickets cost $4 per person or $16 per family of four or more. Tickets at the door are $5 per person or $20 per family. Registration is encouraged but not required, and tickets can be purchased at NPAR.INFO/NORTHVILLE-NITE-2026 or by calling 248-349-0203.
The event debuted in September 2025 with live music from Social Bones and the launch of a mobile archery range, Patch reported. Parks and Recreation Director Derek O. Smith called it "truly the can't-miss party of the year" at that inaugural celebration.
New shop, departing shop
Downtown Northville's retail lineup is shifting this fall, according to the September newsletter from the Northville Downtown Development Authority.
Cozy Collective Boutique & Candle Bar is set to open Thursday, Oct. 1, at 145 N. Center St. The shop will combine retail with hands-on candle-making and plans to host workshops and special events. It is hiring; applicants can reach the business at [email protected].
Meanwhile, REVIR boutique at 345 E. Cady St. is holding a store closing sale. The boutique, which was still advertising in the DDA's May newsletter, said its physical location is closing but the brand will continue selling online at RevirUSA.com. The in-store sale is not available online, and shoppers are encouraged to visit while supplies last. No final day of operation has been announced.
What's ahead downtown
The fall season also brings the Victorian Festival and the return of the Skeletons Are Alive display. The Skeletons Are Alive 15th Annual Launch Party is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 10 p.m. in downtown Northville. Registration for the skeleton sponsorship program is open.
