The Novi Parks Foundation's biggest fundraiser of the year lands on the shores of Walled Lake this Friday, and for the first time, a local artist will paint live while guests sip and socialize — with the finished piece auctioned off before the night ends.
The 12th Annual Pour on the Shore runs from 6:30 to 10 p.m. July 24, at Pavilion Shore Park, 43390 W. 13 Mile Road. Tickets are $45 (plus a $4.87 online processing fee) and include four drink tickets and one food ticket. Attendees must be 21 or older.
Wine, beer, spirits, and food from local vendors round out the evening alongside live music and a photo booth, per the foundation's event listing. The live painting element is new for 2026.
Last year's event drew about 348 guests and raised $12,000 for Novi parks, according to the foundation's October 2025 newsletter. Event Coordinator Victoria Johnson is leading this year's fundraiser under Executive Director Marcel Badia, who joined the nonprofit earlier this year.
The foundation has raised more than $1.5 million since its founding in 2004, funding projects across the city's 1,400 acres of parkland and 26 miles of trails. That includes $50,000 toward the development of Pavilion Shore Park itself, $325,000 for Jessica's Splashpad at Bosco Fields, and $80,000 for pickleball courts at Wildlife Woods Park.
There is no on-site parking at Pavilion Shore Park. A free shuttle runs throughout the evening from the Emagine Theater parking lot at Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk, 44425 W. 12 Mile Road. Shuttles depart from the south-side circular drive.
In case of rain, the event moves to the Novi Civic Center.
