A specialized vision therapy and neuro-rehabilitation practice is opening in downtown Northville, with the Northville Chamber of Commerce hosting a ribbon cutting Tuesday, Aug. 25, at noon.

Vision, Learning & Performance Specialists occupies Suite 200 at 117 N Wing St. Suite 200, bringing services for children and adults dealing with learning difficulties, visual processing problems, concussions, brain injuries, dizziness and binocular vision disorders.
The location fills a niche. Neuro-rehabilitation evaluations for patients recovering from concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke or other neurological conditions are offered exclusively at this Northville office, according to the practice's website. The practice also treats eye tracking, focusing and eye teaming issues, reading difficulties and visual discomfort.
The business operates as the vision therapy arm of SEEN Vision Care and is led by founder Dr. Wahab, a doctor of optometry who also holds an MBA. The Northville clinical team includes Dr. Moussawel, a developmental optometrist who studied at Wayne State University and earned his Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Vision Science from the Illinois College of Optometry. The therapy program is directed by a certified optometric vision therapist who previously worked as an educator.
