Motor City Comic Con takes over the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi Nov. 13–15, bringing actors, comic creators, cosplay contests and family programming to 300,000 square feet of convention space on Grand River Avenue.
The convention, which started in 1989 and runs twice a year, has drawn crowds of about 20,000 to its recent fall editions, according to The Perna Team’s guide to the event. Promoter Michael Goldman still runs the show, which has called Novi home for years.
Previously called the Suburban Collection Showplace, the venue adopted its new name Jan. 1. Its address and layout are unchanged, according to the convention’s FAQ.
