Oakland County’s official candidate list names Kimberly Campbell-Voytal, Melissa Stuart and Michael Cook. Voters may select up to three candidates in the nonpartisan election.

Two of the three are incumbents. Campbell-Voytal serves as board secretary. She was appointed to the board in 2022 and holds a term that expires in 2026, according to the Northville Public Schools website. Stuart is the board’s vice president, also with a term expiring in 2026.

Cook is the only candidate who is not on the district’s current board roster.

Board President Carin Meyer, whose term also expires in 2026, does not appear among the candidates on the county’s list.

What’s at stake

The seven-member board governs the district by setting the budget, establishing policy and hiring personnel, according to the district.

The board generally meets twice a month on Tuesday evenings. Meetings are open to the public; readers should check the district’s board calendar for dates and locations.
