Novi Athletic Boosters are raising money Thursday, Nov. 5, through the McDonald’s app at the Haggerty Road location.
Twenty percent of all Mobile Order & Pay sales at the restaurant, located at 21050 Haggerty Road in Novi, will be donated to the boosters, according to a post on the group’s X account. Customers need to download the McDonald’s app, select the Haggerty Road store and place an order.
The boosters support Novi High School and Novi Middle School athletics through training, facility improvements, equipment and scholarships, according to the group’s website.
Coaches can request grants for needs beyond the athletic department’s budget. The athletic director reviews requests before submitting a formal funding request to the boosters.
The group’s website lists more than $1.5 million spent on Novi athletics during a 10-year period, but the page does not identify that period or when the figure was updated.
McDonald’s fundraisers are familiar ground for the boosters. Brandon Guest, listed under community fundraising in the group’s November 2024 meeting record, reported “great success with Buddy’s and McDonald’s,” according to the meeting minutes.
The Nov. 5 fundraiser applies only to orders placed through the McDonald’s app at the Haggerty Road location. The post did not specify whether the promotion runs all day or during limited hours.
