Novi voters approved a 10-year renewal of the city’s Capital Improvement Program millage, keeping the rate at 1 mill, according to the city’s renewal announcement.

The renewed millage will take effect in July 2027. It supports maintenance and improvements to city assets, including parks, facilities and equipment used to provide municipal services.

The renewal does not raise the existing tax rate.

The Capital Improvement Program, or CIP, identifies and plans capital projects that keep city infrastructure and equipment in working order. The millage provides a dedicated funding source for those projects.

The city thanked residents for supporting the renewal. Its announcement did not include vote totals or state whether the results had been certified.
