Northville High School's Drama Club opens its fall production of "Bringing Down the House" at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at 45700 Six Mile Road, according to the Patch community calendar.

A matinee follows at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, with closing night at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. The production is one of several community events on the Northville calendar through early October.

Board of Education meets Tuesday

The Northville Public Schools Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Old Village School, 405 W. Main St.

Art House schedules 'Off-Center' exhibition opening for Oct. 9

The Northville Art House will open "Off-Center: Art That Pushes Boundaries" Oct. 2, with an opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at 215 W. Cady St. The juried exhibition features 82 works by 74 artists from eight states, according to a participating artist's social media post.

Fire Department open house set for Oct. 3

The Northville Township Fire Department hosts an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Fire Station 1, 45745 Six Mile Road, across from Northville High School near Millennium Park. The event is free.

Families can expect fire truck exploration, station tours, hands-on hose demonstrations, CPR demos, equipment dress-up, an airbrush tattoo artist and giveaways, according to the department's Patch calendar listing. The open house kicks off Fire Prevention Month.

The department, led by Fire Chief Jesse Marcotte since March, employs 39 members trained in Advanced Life Support. In 2024, the department responded to a record 3,765 incidents, according to township records. With two stations now operating, the department reaches 96.5% of township residents in under six minutes.

When Marcotte was promoted in March, he called the department's second station and engine "a game changer for our service delivery."
