Three actors from "The Closer" and "The Boys" are joining Motor City Comic Con's November run in Novi.

Mary McDonnell, Jack Quaid and Tomer Capone will appear at the three-day convention Nov. 13–15 at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace, formerly the Suburban Collection Showplace, at 46100 Grand River Ave., Michigan Mama News reported on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The additions expand what is billed as Michigan's largest pop culture event.

McDonnell is known for playing President Laura Roslin in "Battlestar Galactica" and for her role in seasons 5–7 of "The Closer." She also appeared in "Dances with Wolves." Quaid plays Hughie Campbell in the Amazon Prime Video series "The Boys," and Capone plays the fan-favorite character Frenchie on the same show.

The three join a guest list that already includes Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kyra Sedgwick, who was announced earlier this month and will attend Saturday and Sunday of the convention. As we reported Tuesday, Sept. 15, Sedgwick and Martin Sheen were among the first big names confirmed for the fall show.

Other previously announced guests include Martin Sheen ("The West Wing"), William Fichtner ("Prison Break," "The Dark Knight"), Michael Cudlitz ("Southland," "Band of Brothers"), Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty ("One Tree Hill"), Juliet Landau and James Marsters ("Buffy") and Ross Marquand ("Avengers: Infinity War," "Walking Dead").

The convention is a recurring draw for Novi. The city council approved overflow parking at the Showplace venue for the spring 2026 Comic Con, according to council records.

Advance tickets are available at captureticketing.com. Photo ops can also be purchased ahead of time. Novi residents can arrange early wristband pickup at the venue, according to Novi Patch.
