Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers opens its doors at 26245 Novi Road on Monday, August 3, bringing a new fast-food option to the corridor across from Novi Town Center and a $1,000 donation to Novi Youth Assistance.
The restaurant, built on the site of a former Wendy's on the west side of Novi Road south of Grand River Avenue, is the chain's second metro Detroit location after a Canton store opened in 2025.
The Novi Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. Monday. Doors opened to the public at 10 a.m.

Customers who arrived early could enter a drawing for free Cane's for a year. According to the Novi Chamber event listing, restaurant staff collected entries between 8 and 9 a.m., then drew 20 winners. Entrants must be 13 or older and present to win.
The first 100 customers to purchase a Combo will receive a Cane's trucker hat and a free Box Combo Card. The first customer in line gets an exclusive gift from the crew.
Jessica Baranski, area leader of restaurants for Raising Cane's, said the Novi location will feature photographs and memorabilia celebrating the city's history, making it what the company calls a "one-of-a-kind" restaurant. Baranski said in a statement reported by Patch that the company is eager to create a gathering place for families and neighbors in the Novi community.
The Novi opening is part of the Louisiana-based chain's national 30th-anniversary expansion in August, which includes seven new restaurants across the country, according to QSR Magazine. Raising Cane's was founded in 1996 by Todd Graves and named after his yellow Labrador.
The city's Zoning Board of Appeals approved sign variances for the location on April 14, allowing four additional wall signs and one additional ground sign beyond the three normally permitted, plus a 7-foot ground sign instead of the standard 6-foot maximum. The motion carried 4-3.
The project was submitted to the city in May 2025 and listed among 16 active construction projects in Novi's development pipeline.
Regular hours will be Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
